Robert Balkum, defending Pure Stock champ has his work cut out for him with only a scant 3 point lead over Michael Moody. That’s one finishing position. Robert won only one feature during the year, while Moody collected 6…but Moody had one nite when he finished out of the top 5, and that made the difference. Moody won the championship at Mobile last week.

Mobile’s Mark Barnhill is concluding another year as the top Sportsmen driveeer at 5 Flags.A consistent competitor made a habit of running up front.Then late in the season he had to use a relative’s car to wrap up his year after his reliable #3 was taken out in a wreck. Tommie Blocker is 24 points,, behind in 2nd place. Barnhill is the new champ at Mobile.
