Former NASCAR Pinty’s Series Champion Alex Labbé has announced he will be continuing his partnership with DGM Racing for the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

“I’m excited to announce another year with DGM Racing and for the chance to build on our momentum from 2020,” said Labbé. “Based on last year’s results I fully believe that we have the right tools to be regular top 10 and Playoff contenders.”

The team hopes to run full-time with Labbé in the No. 36 but are still working on securing funding for the second half of the season. Can-Am is rejoining the team as well, sponsoring the 27-year old from St. Albert, Quebec for four races.

In 2020, Labbé scored his first top-five in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, finishing fourth at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval last October.

With a total of seven road courses on the 2021 schedule, including the addition of Circuit of the Americas and Nashville Superspeedway, DGM Racing is hopeful that Labbé “will have more chances to demonstrate his mastery of this type of course.”

Labbé scored a total of five top-tens last season, including a tenth place finish at Daytona in February, leading 19 laps and finished eighth at the Indianapolis Road Course.

Over his eight years in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, Labbé picked up the 2017 series Championship along with 6 wins, 28 top-fives and 37 top-tens.
