(Cypress, CA, August 17, 2021) – After last week’s cancelation of the race scheduled for the Santa Maria Raceway, Garden Grove, California’s Brody Roa is chomping at the bit to get back in action in Saturday’s USAC/CRA “California Racer’s Hall of Fame Night” at Perris Auto Speedway August 21st . The race will be Roa’s first since his second-place finish at Perris on July 17th.

Roa will be one of the favorites to capture some of the extra $13,000.00 that will be added to the normal Perris Auto Speedway purse on Saturday. The fastest qualifier on the night will receive the $2,100.00 “Billy Wilkerson Fast Time Award.” If the fast time is a new track record, it will include a further $1,000.00 bonus. The “Junior Kurtz/Bill Simpson Trophy Dash” will offer up a $4,000.00 purse for the four fastest cars who accept the invitation to be in the race. The winner will pocket $2,000.00 and second place will collect $1,000.00. In addition, more than $6,000.00 in lap money will be added to the main event purse.

Roa’s qualifying stats this season bode well to see him in contention to collect some of the extra cash available in both qualifying and the dash. Through the first nine races of 2021, he has qualified in the top four in six of the nine USAC/CRA races. Included amongst the six are two fast times. When it comes to the main event money, thus far he has led 54 laps this year.

In the first four races at Perris in 2021, Roa has qualified in the top four, three times for an average position of 4.5. He has won two of his four heat races on the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval and placed third in the other two. That gives him an average finish of 2.0 in Perris heat racing action. His main event finishing average around the 25-year-old track is 6.5. However, that number is deceiving as a part failure sent him to the sidelines while running second in the season opener. In the three races since then, he has a 2.00 main event finishing average with one win, a second and a third place.

When the 30-year-old finished second in the last series race at Perris in July, it allowed him to close to within 36-points of the top spot in the championship standings with 12-races to go.

Fans can meet Roa and take photos with him during Saturdays on track autograph and candy giveaway session at intermission. They can also meet him in the pits after the race. He will have his good-looking shirts available in both places. Fans who would like to purchase one, but who cannot attend a race, can check out the online store that is packed with great items including t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, beanies, baby onesies, plush blankets, jigsaw puzzles, stickers, notebooks, tote bags, wine tumblers, mugs, bandana pet collars and more.
