The season opener, which kicks off the 70th year of racing at the Steel Palace, is slated for Saturday, May 23. Known as the Memorial Weekend Special, it will include the Novelis Supermodified Jim Shampine Memorial twin 50-lap races; Pathfinder Bank Small-Block Supers Tony White Memorial 35-lap feature; and a 30-lapper for the 350 Supermodifieds.

Classic Weekend for the 2020 season is Sept. 3-6. The events scheduled for Classic are as follows: Sept. 3 — Oswego Kartway Classic; Sept. 4 — “Pole Day” Time Trials for each division, and the Sunoco New York Super Stock Series Dave London Memorial 75-lap feature; Sept. 5 — The fifth annual NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Toyota Mod Classic 150, presented by McDonald’s, and the 350 Supermodified Busch Classic (35 laps); Sept. 6 — The 64th annual Budweiser International Classic for the supermodifieds (200 laps); and the 29th annual Bud Light Classic for SBS (75 laps).

NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week in 2020 at the speedway will go from Wednesday, Oct. 7 to Sunday, Oct. 11.

The lineup for Saturday, May 30 will have two races: the Jack Murphy Memorial ISMA Supermodifieds 50-lap feature, and a 30-lap SBS race.

On Saturday, June 13, the race card will have the supermodifieds (50 laps), 350 mods (25 laps) and the Super Stocks (30 laps).

The annual Oswego Speedway Spring Championship is scheduled for Saturday, June 20. Supermodifieds will go 60 laps, while the SBS races for 35 laps.

Following a weekend off due to Oswego High School graduation, Oswego Speedway will have its Independence Day Grand Prix Championship Weekend, which falls right on the Fourth of July. The lineup includes supermodifieds going 100 laps for the first time since the 2005 season; SBS (35 laps); and 350 mods (30 laps); and the Sportsman Modified “Xtra Money Race” for 40 laps.

On Saturday, July 11, SBS will have its twin 20-lap races and the 350 mods will have a 20-lap feature. Supermodifieds have the night off.

The Saturday, July 18 lineup showcases the 34th annual $10,000-to-win Mr. Novelis Supermodified (75 laps), and the 29th annual $1,500-to-win Mr Pathfinder Bank SBS (35 laps).

Oswego Speedway will be idle the weekend of July 24-26 in observance of Harborfest.

On Saturday, Aug. 1, the annual Summer Championship Night will be held. Supermodifieds go for 60 laps, SBS races for 35 laps, and the 350 mods will have a 30-lap feature.

Retro Night and Old Timers’ Reunion will be part of race night on Saturday, Aug. 8. The racing lineup includes the supermodifieds (45 laps), SBS (30 laps) and the Super Stocks (30 laps).

The night of Saturday, Aug. 15 will be a regular race lineup for the supermodifieds (50 laps), SBS (30 laps) and the 350 mods (25 laps).

Oswego Speedway’s Track Championship Night is slated for Saturday, Aug. 22. Racing action includes championship features for the supermodifieds (60 laps), SBS (35 laps) and the 350 mods (30 laps). The evening will also include the annual Teal Palace event.

The first day of open practice for all divisions at the speedway is Saturday, May 16.

The speedway’s season wraps up with its annual hall of fame and awards banquet on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience will make two appearances at the speedway: Sunday, June 14 and Aug. 30.

The 2019 season saw Fulton’s Tyler Thompson win his first Budweiser International Classic title. Thompson is the youngest supermodified driver to capture the Classic crown.

Mike Bond snatched his fourth-straight Bud Light SBS Classic title, while Jeffrey Battle took home the 350 Mod Classic trophy.

During the regular season in 2019, Otto Sitterly won his ninth Novelis Supermodified track title. Anthony Losurdo won his second-straight SBS crown, and also grabbed the 350 mod title.
