Inaugural Texas Truck Challenge $10,000 to Win presented by Advance Auto Parts & Car Quest

Houston, TX (September 21, 2020) – It would end up being a great night for racer Mason Teague in his Baja (John Alverson) Sellman specialties llc Arts Truck Chassis. John Heil started the Inaugural Texas Truck Challenge $10,000 to Win presented by Advance Auto Parts & Car Quest night at Houston Motorsports Park on September 12, 2020 by setting fast time with a 15.305 Sec. lap.

The main event the Inaugural Texas Truck Challenge $10,000 to Win presented by Advance Auto Parts & Car Quest began with a battle between Steven Davis and John Heil and lasted for most of the Inaugural Texas Truck Challenge. Davis who started the race leading the first 11 laps with Heil and Teague right behind when the first caution came out with a spin in turn 4.

Tight field for the restart Davis and Heil battle for position with Heil coming on top on lap 20, Davis and Heil went back and forth with Davis leading laps 21 & 22. When the second caution of the night came out with a tangle in turn 2.

On the restart Davis and Heil started a fierce battle fighting for the lead that went back and fourth for 6 laps with each driver claiming a lap. With 9 Lead Changes amongst 2 leaders John Heil would come out victorious in the closing laps with Davis right behind and Mason Teague following in suit.

After a later tech inspection the top 2 positions would later be disqualified leaving 3 place Mason Teague NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Pro Truck Racer the winner of the Inaugural Texas Truck Challenge $10,000 to Win presented by Advance Auto Parts & Car Quest. “Truck had good long run speed all weekend” Teague Said. All I can say is sometimes it pays to be legal. His dad won the championship in this same truck last year.
