FIRST TIME SINCE 2019; SERIES RETURNS TO TULARE THUNDERBOWL

3/23/21 (Visalia CA)- As the state and nation starts to return to somewhat of “normalcy”, so does the Van De Pol Western Racesavers, as they return to one of their “home tracks” for a doubleheader weekend, the 1/3rd mile clay oval, known as the Tulare Thunderbowl.

After taking a week off, following a doubleheader weekend at The Dirt Track at Kern County Raceway, series promoter Bubba Maurice is anxious to see increased car counts this coming weekend. “The series will always have ups and downs, I need to do a better job of getting cars to the track” commented Bubba Maurice. “Even with the lower car counts at KCRP, the racing was great, one of the better feature events I have seen was the Saturday night show” he added.

The two Ryan’s, Delisle and Rocha, split the feature event wins down at KCRP. Richard Weddle picked up a couple of podium finishes as well. A strong field of cars is expected for the first visit back to the facility since 2019. Others expected to attend include Washington young gun, Lane Taylor, 2020 series champion, Brooklyn Holland. Fresno drivers Blaine Fagundes and Hanford driver Connor Danell, among many more.

After the upcoming doubleheader weekend concludes, drivers will set their sights on the 1/3rd mile Bakersfield Speedway on April 10th. This will begin 3 straight weeks of racing with a return trip to Tulare on April 17th, and the first visit of the season to the Merced Speedway on the 24th.

2021 SPONSORS: The series would like to thank their 2021 sponsors: Van De Pol Petroleum, Warmerdam Walnut Company, BR Motorsports, CS9 Chassis, BRB Fabrication, Spy Graphix and Danell Custom Harvesting.
